Run, Jump, and Blast Your Way to Success this February
After announcing our partnership with Sunna Entertainment several months ago, we are now proud to share the official release date for Planet Cube: Edge. This exciting precision platformer will be hitting the Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC in less than one month on 23rd of February 2023.
The second game in our roster, Planet Cube: Edge reestablishes the Firestoke vision of publishing titles that spark joy, surprise, and delight players everywhere. Planet Cube: Edge throws players into a peaceful, cube-shaped world disrupted by a mysterious invasion as you take on the role of Edge, a skilled engineer who has the ability to shoot, jump, and dash whilst making his way through an underwater science complex. This is high-speed adventuring set in a hand-crafted pixel art world, filled with precision platforming and thrills.

“After years in the making, the launch date is finally here and we couldn’t be happier for everyone to be able to enjoy Planet Cube Edge. The game reflects our original vision of quality, fun and variety for fans of the genre. And for newer fans of the genre, our vision of having an accessible precision platformer. Our focus was making a challenging game that helps you beat it, but doesn’t do it in a way that takes away from that excitement of beating a challenging part.
Player feedback has been extremely positive from the first time we showcased it in public, to these last few days when people playtested the full version. The launch date marks the start of players worldwide enjoying Planet Cube Edge on PC and Console and we can’t wait to see the reception!”
If you enjoy visiting game events, you might have spotted Planet Cube: Edge previously at places like GDC, Tokyo Game Show, and Gamescom. Following on from the positive reactions at public events, the game has been lauded by playtesters at its final stage. With its release just around the corner, we are very much looking forward to seeing more and more people discover the game.
Features of Planet Cube: Edge include:
- A Hero’s Journey: Play as Edge, an unlikely hero who is thrown into the midst of a mysterious alien invasion that threatens his homeworld.
- Precision Platforming: Fast-paced, precision platforming that is easy to learn but tricky to master. Hand-tailored challenges will test your skills as you navigate the facility.
- Epic Boss Fights: Four gigantic bosses which test your skill, reflexes, and determination!
- Tough But Fair: Regular checkpoints, immediate respawns, and unlimited attempts provide an accessible precision platforming experience.
- Level Variety: Traverse and dash through 8 levels including a high-tech underwater weapons facility, submerged rooms, train stations, and surface structures.
- A Visual Treat: Meticulously handcrafted pixel art which is stunning in motion with high frame rate animations and memorable character designs.
- Leaderboards: Battle your way to the top of the leaderboards by beating the community’s runs.
