Digital Content Artist

Firestoke is a new publisher of indie PC and Console games. We love games that bring people together, can be shared with friends and family, and spark joy!

Our aim is to connect a growing global audience of players with the games they love. We are driven by creative inspiration but informed by data, enabling us to bring players the best indie games from the brightest development talent.

As part of our expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Digital Content Artist who will work within the marketing team and report to the Marketing Director. 

The Digital Content Artist will be responsible for creating and maintaining the majority of 2D and video marketing assets, including key art, social creative (including videos), logos, ads,  event art and store assets. The post holder will have a significant degree of autonomy and, therefore, must be able to understand each project, its proposition, positioning and tone. The role requires being able to produce high-quality content in good time and with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities 

• Collaborates with the wider team to conceptualise and/or deliver key marketing assets, including key art, logos, store art, social videos, trailers and platform assets. 
• Produces punchy and relevant content in the best-optimised formats for platforms such as TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube (inc shorts) etc.. 
• Creates and adjusts pre-existing art to meet requirements.
• Work with the marketing team to create concepts that will resonate with our audiences.
• Generates comprehensive and workable style guides for each project. 
• Adjusts and optimises assets for websites, social media, promotions, and 
• storefronts.
• Generates high-quality social media assets and contributes to overall content strategy across products and business. 
• Supports the wider team with creative briefs 
• Contributes to general marketing objectives, tasks and strategies. 

 

Experience / Skills

Our ideal candidate is someone who has demonstrated a natural creative flare across multiple mediums, a passion for indie games, and a solid understanding of the creative landscape but, most importantly, is willing and excited to learn new skills and continuingly looks to innovate.

 

• Highly competent user of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and associated software (Bridge, After Effects etc.). Whether this is professional or personal, we’ll want to see a portfolio of prior work. 
• Knowledge of the requirements and limitations of design for real-world digital content.
• Experience with InDesign, or similar, to generate style guides 
• The ability to work in vector. 
• Have highly developed attention to detail
• Confident in typography, colour theory, and image composition.
• Can demonstrate being able to understand creative direction (especially working with external IP’s) and work independently with minimal guidance. 
• Possess strong project and time management skills. 
• A creative mindset and the ability to self-motivate.
• Strong and confident communications skills.
• Be able to create your own processes to ease pain points for you, your team and the company as a whole.
